Emre Keskin is the University Research Data Officer at Harvard. In this role, Emre partners with Scott Yockel to build the foundation of University Research Computing and ensure its long-term sustainability to support the research mission of the university. As various elements of research data life cycle management are distributed among many units, Emre facilitates the coordination of efforts to ensure that the University’s service offerings meet the needs of the research community. Emre works with various stakeholders to ensure that all the needed services, policies, procedures, and tools are available and that they are developed and implemented using institutionally agreed-upon standards. Emre previously worked at Columbia University, where he served as the Director of Information and Technology and Data Analytics, and was responsible for the design, development, and implementation of various information systems. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, M.S. in Cognitive Science, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Physics.
