The Office of the Vice Provost for Research (VPR) has broad responsibility and oversight for identifying, organizing, and launching strategic initiatives of university import toward enhanced research innovation and capability – whether it’s establishing novel areas of cross-disciplinary focus at Harvard; enabling shared, core university facilities around cutting-edge technology; spearheading cross-institutional ventures to address common needs and advance knowledge; or leading large-scale efforts to enhance the scientific landscape of the greater Boston area.
