Jen Towers is the Senior Director of Research Compliance Programs in the Office of the Vice Provost for Research. She spent 25+ years as an academic researcher, administrator, compliance professional, and educator before arriving at Harvard. Jen is a PhD Candidate in Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University where she designed and taught graduate courses in hate studies and risk communication and social marketing and was the Assistant Dean for Health Sciences. Jen spent over a decade at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine as Director of Research Affairs. Her current research agenda centers on testing strategies for leading supremacists away from online hate groups. She received her Master of Science in Health Communication from Tufts University School of Medicine, a Certificate in Management and Leadership from Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Affairs from University of Rhode Island. She also has advanced training in research ethics from the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
