Sarah Ciosek is an IRB Administrator for the Harvard University Area IRB. Her portfolio includes Government, Health Policy, Public Policy and Psychology. Prior to her start in research administration, Sarah assisted with both human subjects and animal research at her undergraduate institution, Northern Illinois University. Her experience with IRB administration then began in 2019 at Ball State University where she worked as a graduate assistant in the Office of Research Integrity. She also completed her Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Psychology during this time. After leaving Ball State, Sarah served as a Full Board member of the University’s IRB while also working as a Sponsored Programs Specialist at the University of Chicago. This sponsored programs role allowed her to learn the ins and outs of federal and non-federal research grants. Eager to return to IRB work full time, Sarah moved from the Midwest to Boston in happy acceptance of her current role at Harvard. She is thrilled to now be part of such a wonderful team and grateful for the opportunity to serve the HUA research community.
