Description:
The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship, offered by the Government of Canada, provides two year fellowships to eligible postdoctoral students nationally and internationally.
Applicants who wish to be hosted by a faculty member at Harvard University should first confirm that their proposed host’s lab, or similar research space, is physically located on the campus of Harvard University.
In the Longwood Medical Area, a proposed faculty host must hold a primary appointment at one of the following:
- HMS basic and social science departments on the Quad (to see a list of Departments, please click here)
- Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health
- Harvard School of Dental Medicine
Note: If your proposed host is based at one of the institutions listed below*, Harvard University is unable to provide a Letter of Institutional Endorsement as required for your application. The letter must come from the institution where your proposed host has their lab or research space.
While there are many faculty members affiliated with Harvard University, those who do not occupy physical lab and/or research space on the campus of Harvard University are not administratively supported, employed, or governed by Harvard University. As such Harvard University cannot provide the required Letter of Institutional Endorsement for the following affiliated institutions:
